The recipient of The Ezekiel Award for excellence in Christian witness and teaching for 2010 is Mr. Justin Kohl. Mr. Kohl's qualifications and achievements are noted on the Ezekiel Award page.

 

An Accreditation team from the Association for Christian Schools International visited both of ECA's campuses starting on April 26th, 2010. At a meeting of the Board and Faculty on April 28th the team announced that they are recommending ECA for the unconditional five year accreditation to the ACSI Commission which will convene in June.  This is the highest level of accreditation and is valid for the kindergarten through twelfth grade program.

In responding to the announcement Jim Johnson, ECA Superintendent, remarked "While we still need all of your prayers to grow into the school God intends for us to be, today we rejoice in the affirming comments from the ACSI Accreditation Team about the caring culture and quality educational programs currently present at ECA."

The William B. and Helen S. Leonard Foundation for the Endowment of Evangelical Christian Academy (ECA) is pleased to announce that the recipient of The Ezekiel Award for excellence in Christian witness and teaching for 2008 is Miss Anne Lichlyter, a fifth grade teacher at the Evangelical Christian Academy Elementary Campus. Miss Lichlyter is a 1996 graduate of ECA and a 2000 Graduate of Covenant College. She has been teaching at ECA since the 2000-2001 school year. The formal presentation will be made at the last Elementary Chapel, Wednesday, May 21, 2008 and at the Secondary Graduation on Friday, May 23, 2008.
